What is Buccal fat pad removal?

Buccal fat pad removal also is known as buccal lipectomy or more simply cheek fat removal is a surgery that creates a slimmer younger looking face by removing excess fat from the cheeks areas. This excess can appear due to the genetic predisposition, weight gain or aging that leads to the lowering of fat and creating a bumpy facial contour.

The surgery is performed from the inside of the mouth which allows the preventing of scars on the face. Buccal fat removal surgery usually performed with other plastic surgery to create a more strong rejuvenation effect. Depending on the patient’s goal the accompanying surgery can differ. For example:
