What is Eyelid Revision?
This surgery improves or corrects the results of the previous eyelid surgery in case if the client feels dissatisfaction due to the aesthetic or functional problems.

When Eyelid Revision is Possible?
Early reoperation is possible in some cases but in general, the eyelid revision is recommended 6 months after the previous operation because tissues need time to recover after the surgery. A consultation with an experienced medical specialist is required because the timing of the reoperation depends on the circumstances and in overall can prevent the necessity of additional reoperation.

When Eye Reoperation is Needed?
1. If double eyelids are too thick and look like sausages
2. In case of asymmetric eyelids

Surgical Method Depending on the Type of Eyelid Reoperation
If double eyelids are too thick and look like sausages
If the former surgery was incisional
Lowering the eyelid crease and the incision scar or removing tissues that create a sausage look.
If the former surgery was non-incisional
Loosening the stitched part within 2 weeks after the surgery and reposition the eyelid crease.
However, if it has been over 2 weeks after the surgery, an incision reopearation is neede becaused the stiched site is already healed.
If the former surgery was a blepharoptosis correction
The incision must be performed to lower the double eyelid, correct blepharoptosis and remove the tissues that create a sausage look, thus making a thinner and more natural double eyelid.
Asymmetric eyelids
Asymmetry of the double eyelid creases
Loosening the knots in the existing double eyelid crease and creating a double eyelid crease in line with the desired one.
Only one or both eyelids can be corrected
If double eyelid crease is loose on one side
Set up the same knot strength on the weakened double eyelid crease.
If different force is needed to open eyes due to blepharoptosis
Correct the muscles of a weaker eye.
Indistinct or loose double eyelid crease
If there is a need to remove muscles or fat
