What is Nose Reoperation?
Highly satisfying results are based on the precise diagnosis of the reoperation cause.
Nose reoperation corrects the nose shape after the previous rhinoplasty in case if the patient wants to change it due to various complications or because of functional or aesthetic dissatisfaction.
When Nose Reoperation is Possible?
It is generally recommended to have the reoperation 6 months after the previous surgery.
You can receive the reoperation within 3 months after a nose bridge raising rhinoplasty. However, in most cases, the nasal tissues recover 6 months after the surgery. Therefore, you must consult with a surgeon to prevent additional reoperation because the timing of the reoperation depends on the circumstances.
1. When the redness around the surgery site disappears
2. When the surgery site becomes soft
3. When the inflammation is completely cured (if there was any)

CUSTOMIZED SURGERY
The mistakes of the previous rhinoplasty are precisely diagnosed to provide customized surgery.
PERFORMED BY PROFESSIONALS
The medical specialist with a lot of clinical experience and sophisticated aesthetic sense performs the surgery.
MINIMAL SCARRING
This surgical procedure minimizes scars from the operation and creates a natural-looking appearance.
Surgical Method Depending on the Type of Nose Reoperation
If nose looks unnatural
The reoperation is performed to create a beautiful nose outline from the forehead to the chin and to form balanced facial features.
It replaces the existing implant with a new one and adds an autograft on the nose tip.
If the nose tip becomes too short due to contracture caused by inflammation.
Nose scar tissues are sufficiently removed, soft tissues including skin are widely peeled off to provide skin expansion.
The designed prosthetics are inserted before the surgery and fixed to ensure that no hardening or displacement of the nose tip gonna happen.
If an implant is visible through the thin skin.
The place of the implant insertion is changed to a location that is deeper than the skin layer.
Skin tissues and fat grafting techniques are used instead of an implant.
If autograft is not suitable, replacement should be done with a thinner implant for less irritation to the skin.
If the shape of the nose is unsatisfactory.
You have to consult with your surgeon for the reoperation if you want it simply because you do not like the nose shape or nose bridge height to ensure the accurate understanding of the final shape by you and your medical specialist.
If the nose bone looks crooked
The asymmetry of the nose bone slope is revised with lateral osteotomy which shaves the outer part of the nose bone.
If there is an asymmetry in the center of the nose bone, the nose will look crooked no matter how straight is the implant that is inserted. Therefore, the prosthetic will be inserted after the center of the nose bone is shaved to be straightened out.
If a nose bridge implant is mislocated, remove it and symmetrically straighten the space where the new implant will be inserted.
If the nose bridge is too high or low
If the nose bridge is too high, replace the prosthetic with a thinner one depending on the overall facial proportions and nose shape.
If the nose bridge is wide, a well-defined nose can be completed only when it is accompanied by osteotomy.
The size of the new implant should be decided considering the desired curvature of the nose outline from the forehead to the chin and the facial proportions. Also, in the case of the low nose bridge, the surgical method should be picked carefully between additional peeling off or making the space where the implant is inserted wider.
